I know it has been a long time since I have written anything, and for that I apologize. Rather than give a laundry list of reasons I haven't blogged recently, I will just pick up where I left off, more or less, and hope you forgive me.
A quick update: Josie is officially three years old and EXTREMELY proud of that fact.
And NO, she is still not potty-trained. She went through a very difficult period behaviorally, and we were ready to pull our hair out. She is, I think, in the winter of that stage. We have seen some improvement in her attitude and demeanor... the disagreeable, grouchy little girl comes and goes still, but she comes around less often than she did even one month ago. Her manners are really improving and her disposition is overall much brighter.
Caroline is now officially two years old, which is essentially meaningless to her with the notable exception of the fact that she has mastered the "how old are you" nonverbal response:
Someone must have told her about her obligation to uphold the tradition of the Terrible Twos, because THE DAY after her birthday, our sweetness and light-filled child shapeshifted into an argumentative, whiny BUTT. But as we have witnessed with Josie, this too shall pass; we just need to buckle down, take a deep, cleansing breath and focus on the positive. She is still completely adorbs and remains our little comedian, she's also just a teeny bit bi-polar, that's all.
Other than birthdays, not potty training and managing challenging behavior, we have been busy trying to keep the girls entertained on a budget, getting our house organized, drinking lots of coffee, taking pictures and planning for our future. We have been pretty lackadaisical lately, and it is time for us to buckle down, get on a schedule and for me? To get back to blogging!
